Ingo was, at his core, a creator. Long before his research at SRI, he was an artist and writer, using both visual and written forms to explore human perception and the nature of experience.
This page brings together his books and visual work as a unified body of thought. His writings range from accessible introductions to deeper explorations of awareness, while his artwork reflects the same underlying inquiry expressed through symbolic and visual form.
Direct links to his books and related materials are provided below. Titles are also available through Apple Books, Google Books, and other retailers, including local and independent bookstores, which can often order them upon request.

To Kiss Earth Good-bye
Ingo’s first published account of his inner life and early experiences in parapsychology, this book reflects his attempt to describe expanded states of awareness and their personal impact.
He later expressed dissatisfaction with the published version, noting that it was incomplete and did not fully reflect his intended account. These experiences were revisited and significantly expanded in Remote Viewing: The Real Story, which he regarded as the more complete version.

A self-published work from 1980, this book examines the social, psychological, and political dynamics of power and control. The following titles are contemporary works by Elly Flippen, niece of Ingo Swann, exploring themes related to his research into perception, consciousness, and human awareness.

The first book introduces the foundation of perceptual literacy, focusing on attention to present experience rather than new techniques. It explores how perception functions through the body before thought and interpretation, and how sensation, attention, and atmosphere shape awareness in real time.
Available in eBook and print formats.

The second book builds on the foundation of perceptual awareness by focusing on stability.
As perception becomes noticeable, it examines the structures that support clarity, grounding, and reliability, allowing awareness to remain steady even in more complex or high-intensity environments.
Available in eBook and print formats.

The third book explores how meaning forms within perception.
Building on the stability developed in Book Two, it examines how information moves through layers of sensing, regulation, memory, and interpretation, shaping what is recognized as thought, understanding, or insight.
Available in eBook and print formats.

The fourth book brings perception into motion, focusing on how awareness functions in real time.
Extending the earlier volumes, it examines how to remain oriented as perception, emotion, and meaning move through everyday experience, with an emphasis on clarity, grounding, and responsiveness.
Available in eBook and print formats.

The fifth book expands perception beyond the individual, examining how awareness is shaped by social, cultural, institutional, and environmental structures.
It considers how these forces influence experience while often appearing as normal conditions rather than constraints.
